sixteen stories

We have celebrated and featured 48 feminist activists since 2020.  We encourage you to take a few moments to read, view and hear the voices of these amazing change agents.  We are humbled to share an archive of their stories.

This year marked the 30th anniversary of the 16 Days Campaign founded by Rutgers University Center for Women in Global Leadership.  In honor of this milestone year, the following activists were re-featured: Ivy Bryan, Trishia Nashtaran, Puleng Segalo, Peggy Rivage-Seul, Jennifer Katz and Hasnaa Makhtar.  Additionally, a global planning team convene to signify the impact, outreach and importance of this work.  Special thanks to: Bejan Foretia, KaRa Lyn Thompson & Nishi Shah

During the 2nd year of the multi pandemic voices echoed around mindfulness, immigration, representation, self care, collective care, environment connecting academic to activism and advocacy.  Stories were shared across the U.S., South Africa, Bangladesh and Australia.

 In the inaugural year of this campaign, we received over 50 submissions as activism was activated in our minds, bodies and souls.  Voices were desiring to be heard, change and transformation were inevitable.  Submissions were received from around the globe.  Centering #metoo, LGBTQIA+, solidarity/allyship, protests, everyday activism and a variety of mediums and themes.
